Preservation Primer for Genealogical Materials

The homepage of the Western Reserve Historical Society, Cleveland, has a useful guide to “saving stuff” that applies to genealogy and family history research, compiled by the society’s Manuscripts Division. You can click on the following topic categories to learn how to make sure that your collected materials will be preserved for your descendents: All Documents, Paper, Scrapbooks, Newsprint, Films, Video, Audio Cassette Tape, Photographs, Photographic Media Types, Archival Supply Vendors.
